Synopsis

Walter Ruston, born just outside of Windsor, moved to Toronto in the late 60s to attend the Ontario College of Art (OCADU). Walt spent his time freelancing throughout Ontario painting various murals and doing other art installations during the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. Over the course of those forty years he called the Gladstone Hotel penthouse suite his home, where he also housed his life drawing classes. Walt is an inspiring artist that persevered through the toughest time in Toronto, which helped his artistic integrity.
